“What is ‘s fee policy?”
Fees and fee arrangements are discussed at each client’s first meeting with a lawyer. In most cases, our fees are based upon time and responsibility involved. You will be given a written fee agreement in which specific fees and anticipated costs for your case are spelled out. If a special payment plan has been arranged, it will be detailed in the letter along with information about your legal objectives and methods of achieving them. Personal injury cases are generally handled on a contingent (percentage of settlement) basis.
“What should I bring to a meeting with my attorney?”
To allow us to best assist you, please bring any and all documentation related to your case when meeting with an attorney. Where applicable, this may include a police report, a copy of your insurance policy, medical records or bills, the names and telephone numbers of witnesses, and other documentation supporting your claim of injury, wage loss, etc.
“What is the Attorney-Client Privilege?”
The attorney-client privilege protects and keeps confidential certain communications between attorney and client. This is to encourage the client to make complete disclosures of information to his or her attorney, who will then be better able to assist the client with legal advice and representation.
